They are lightweight, easy to fold and more convenient than a blanket or towel to tote around in their backpacks. I do wish they were a little larger, though. This seat cushion is adequate and comes in a nice little case. It’s not quite as sturdy as another one I had purchased but it’s not as expensive either and since I lost that one on a hike I didn’t want to buy a more expensive version. This certainly works. And it’s not quite as bulky to fit in my backpack. I haven’t placed it on anythings seriously wet so I’m not quite sure how that aspect would be.

I have a different purpose for this item. I use this for my dog. She has put a bit of a dent into her bed, but the bed is still in perfect condition So I folded this mat in thirds and placed it right into the dip on the bed, then put the padding back on. She’s a lot more comfortable this way. I also take this mat out when I take her outdoors and lay it out for her to have a place to sit. This mat is perfect for my pet in these two ways. It’s lightweight and easy to keep fur off. I haven’t had to yet, but I think this mat would be easy to rinse off.
